The Beauty of Decay

In my work, decaying flowers serve as symbols of fragility, impermanence, and the often-overlooked realities of life. Bathed in ethereal light, they appear vibrant and otherworldly, yet beneath their surface, the truth of their withering form remains—stems browning, petals brittle, mold creeping in. This contrast reflects society’s tendency to romanticize beauty while neglecting deeper truths. Through intricate detail and a careful interplay of color and shadow, my paintings challenge viewers to look beyond the illusion and consider what they might be choosing to ignore.
